Deviation Actions
Well, it's been a very long time since I updated you all on what I've been doing, so here's the lowdown:
- I finished college
- I worked at a small animation studio for a year
- I worked at BioWare Austin for a year, as a writer
- I've written a fantasy novel for YAs and am looking for an agent
- I've started dabbling in game development using the Unity Engine.
So, here I am. Is anyone even reading this?
College
Sorry for the lack of updates. I've started studying Animation at college this year.
I need an artist!
I live.
Crimson Dark http://www.davidcsimon.com/crimsondark/ has been going extremely well. It's well into chapter 2 now, approaching 80 pages and counting. I've been interviewed for The Gigcast http://gigcast.nightgig.com/?p=198 , I've been invited to join Nightgig and I've set up a mirror on Drunk Duck http://www.drunkduck.com/Crimson_Dark/ where Crimson Dark became a featured comic in less than a week. I've also published a 2007 calendar featuring spacecraft from the comic https://www.cafepress.com/crimsondark.88117133
Meanwhile, I'm looking for an artist who would like to collaborate on my next project. Please click here if you're inter
Devious Journal Entry
Well, I've got to say, the Daily Deviation which Human Error received has really started something going. It's a long story, but to put it simply: my webcomic is up and running, and going very well so far - all I need is people who want to read it ;)
So swing by http://www.crimsondark.com/ and take a look, and let me know what you think. There's already a prologue online, as well as the first five pages of chapter 1 - that's over twenty pages in total. I'm really keen to get some feedback, since this is a very new endeavour for me.
BOO!
I thought I'd go crazy and update my journal. Whacky, no?
I had a job for a few months, then I lost it. I'm currently looking for writing work, particularly games journalism but that's not exactly an easy industry to break into. In the meantime I'm *still* working on my novel - one day I'll finish it and the apocalypse will follow in a matter of hours, just you wait. Most of my art is digital at the moment, because it's cheap.
I've recently become addicted to The West Wing. No one is more surprised by this news than I, as I am profoundly UnAmerican. But it's extremely well written, with great acting and direction - I'm enjoying it immensley

Well, I am. I was really worried about you when you abandoned Crimson Dark and I'm relieved to see activity and you apparently feeling more positive about your art.
